n0obie4life
Are they allowed?

And can you guys recommend some good ones?
orno
im not too sure since i dunno much about CVS repositories, but i think it has to be installed on the server first...
since we dont have SSH access and cant run processes, we cant setup a cvs repository

but then again, maybe im just ignorant, in which case bondings or one of the other admins can answer and u can just ignore this post Smile

EDIT: just found this: http://www.freebsd.org/projects/cvsweb.html

I need a CVS, but all the ones I see, I suppose they need shell access Neutral.

CVS's are setup server side and require ports be opened and also configurations elsewhere... Sad

I would LOVE a CVS account myself as I can't find anywhere a CMS that will monitor alterations unless they're made with that CMS itself Sad

More or less.. CVS of my Homepage.. Smile

Then I can go back and forth etc..
And remove access to all */CVS

*boogies*.

I have no idea what cvs is actually, and I certaily don't have the time to install it at the moment.

lol, if you need to know what it is check out SOURCEFORGE.NET and no you cant create one as a client. And admin with ROOT and SSH Access needs to create a CVS Repository

If you are looking @ clients to run on Windows machines if/when you get a CVS account check out TortoiseCVS..
Integrates itself into explorer.exe and through changing icons can tell you if files are updated etc.. and also allows you to write your own rule structure etc Smile

Have been having fun with it & PHPBB2.1+ etc..

VERY nifty..
