Cpanel doesn't like my computer, evidently...

PatTheGreat42
I can't log onto cpanel. I go to PatTheGreat.com/cpanel ('cause that's my site) and the familiar Windows password alert appears, but when I type in my username and password, it doesn't work.

What makes this case weird is when I asked my friend to log on from his computer, he was successful. Also, my webcam and ftp clients are still working, so my username and password are still valid, even though in an attempt to resolve my problem, I requested a new password (I never got the email).

How could it be that I can't log onto Cpanel from my computer only?

Thanks.

Try clearning caches and using a different browswer.
Neus
or try going to PatTheGreat.com:2082

or try going to 216.32.68.250:2082

(its the server ip, and 2082 is cpanel)

you can also use that link to edit it when the name servers are down or propagating Wink

putting :2082 at the end loads cpanel up too Wink

or try a cashe clear...

I tried using a different browser and going to 216.32.68.250:2082, but I didn't get either to work. How does one clear the caches?

Thanks.

You can clear the cache somewhere in the settings. For Firefox, it's in the "privacy" settings.

But if your friend can log in, then you should be able to login too. Are you sure you use same password you gave him? Try to type it again completely, without using the saved password of your browser.

I,uh, fixed it.

Turns out that the username is case sensitive.

Thanks for the help.
