Tablet PCs: your experience?

Ghengis
This weekend, we ordered a new tablet PC for my wife. It's a special from Office Depot. If you have one near you, this is an *awesome* deal -- 600-800 bucks for a pretty high-spec tablet!

Anyway, this will be our first Tablet PC -- they've been around for a while, but never really became "the next big thing". It's a convertible, so we can still use it as a laptop, but obviously the active/passive digitizer is the big draw. She's going to use it for some drawing, some note-taking, and probably some games.

Do any of you fellow Frihosters have experience with these things? What do you like? What needs improvement? Tips? Tricks? Pitfalls to avoid?

In case it matters, it's an HP tx2000z-series running Vista Home Premium. We haven't bought any add-on software yet, though I did order a NuShield screen protector.
