So let's face it. Movies about Computers are so few...
At least there are some computer films out there, worth watching.
1. Anti-trust
2. Pirates in Silicon Valley
3. Hackers 2 - Takedown
4. Hackers
5. Wargames
Let's post our favourites, shall we?
Don't forget ...
- a.i. (2001),
- Dark Star (1974),
- Demon Seed (a.k.a. Susan Harris) 1977,
- 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) and
- Colossus (a.k.a. The Forbin Project) 1970
.. all of them giving computers a soul, usually a very dark and sometimes irrational one.
Zero Cool! Its Hackers for me - great film. Had to renew my video with a DVD the other week. It was only about £4.00 including postage from Play.com. What a great investment. A young Angelina Jolie looking her best - and Johnny Lee Miller is good in this one too.
Sound track is brilliant - turn the surround up high and enjoy.
Crash and Burn!
Of the original list, only War Games appeals to me.... but that is just me. I think the house in War Games was the same one that was in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.....
I don't know if you can consider it as a movie about computer but Office Space is about IT and is very funny.
I'm not sure I could come up with a solid five, but here's my best guess:
1.) The Matrix
2.) A.I
3.) Hackers
And then maybe I would throw in Tron, cause it's awesome. =P
* Matrix, undisputed!!
* Wargames, defenitlly, a classic!
* Tron, another classic, lol
* A.I, actually, I like it, but first after seeing it a few times.
* Johnny Nmemonic, mabye not really about computers, but hey, the dolphin rocks!
1. The Matrix
2. 2001: A Space Odyssey
3. Wargames
4. All those episodes of Lost where they have to keep pressing 'The Button'. Awsome!!(zzzzzzzzzz)
I have never seen Hackers 1 or 2.
Just thought of another one.
Spy Kids 3!!!! Go Sly.
Only kidding

You just made me want to go home and watch Hackers again. I haven't seen Hackers 2 is it really better than the first?
My top 5:
The Matrix
Hackers
Office Space
Italian Job(the new one) - Seth Green is awesome
Live Free or Die Hard
Oh, just thought about adding Swordfish. I love that movie.
I'm assuming this list of movies includes those about artificial intelligences. In that case, the Terminator trilogy probably rates a mention (although it's not exactly my favourite set of films) - after all, Skynet (and the Terminators themselves) are just self-aware computers....
I'd probably also include I, Robot - another case of self-aware machines.
For me A.I is probably top, because of its connotations about the unknown future.
1. Matrix trilogy
2. AI
3. I, Robot
4. Net
5. Hackers
I think 2001: a space oddessy sucks. It ruined it's fame got in the book. Book rox
My top-5 Movies about Computers:
1. The Matrix Trilogy
2. Hackers 1,2
3. Pirates in Silicon Valley
4. I, Robot
5. Jonny Mnemonic
I cant say which are the best ones, but the worst movie is...
TRON ! made in the 80s, but thats no excuse
