Allow disabling of word censoring:
Users can choose to disable the automatic word censoring of posts and private messages.
What does it mean can anybody tell me with example?
Also tell me where is a option to change username of any member by Admin if he or she requesting to change it .
I don't allow username change defalut settings so please tell me where is the option to change it by Admin .

phpBB has a built in word censor, and any words added to the list will not be shown.
for example, if the word censor is enabled, and one word in the word censor list is "porn", then if a user types the word "porn" into a post then the word will be replaced.
if the word censor is disabled, all words stated in the ACP will be shown like normal.
...so basically, don't disallow the feature.
Hmmm, I haven't used phpBB for a -very- long time, but in the ACP I believe there is a module called "User". Click on that, search the member via name, and you should be able to change the name on the page that loads (although i could be mistaken).Oh thanks sir

I have installed the AJAX Chat on my localhost using WAMP in phpBB3
I wanna some help on it .
Can someone tell me how do i edit AJAX CHAT , AJAX Chat © blueimp.net ( showing after the opening of http://localhost/phpBB3/chat & after the login ) to my choice .
& the 2nd problem is that i want to add the emotions of my choice by giving the link as more i.e. when someone click on more a new pop up window will open having rest emotions.
Please download it & helped me how can i do it.

1 - I googled ajax chat. What exactly do you wish to modify?
2 - Doesn't that already happen, I thought that was the default action?

I just want that after installing it on phpBB3 & when this chat box window will open there is a emotion at the bottom of the window .
I can replace that emotion with my own choice but they are heavy & consume large space ; in result of which the message entered table got less space & even isn't seen on screen of 800 X 600 of PC.
So that's why i want to add that emotion as a link ( i have seen it on some sites ) such that when someone click on that link ; a new pop up window will open having that emotions .
Suppose like after 5-10 emotions i added the link MORE Emotions & when user click on this more emotion link they will get a new pop up window having the rest bulky emotions.
Let me tell you by giving example of frihost because they have this option
When we reply on some topic in frihost there is smilies on left side ; under them there is View more Emotions
I too wanted this type link such that like frihost when someone click on View More Emotion in my site chat box a new pop up window will open having the rest emotions like on frihost .
Now i did my best to explain all this .
Please solve out this problem on your localhost in WAMP or whatever You are using like Vertrigo .

I'm unable to use my own localhost to test it out, due to the fact that I do not have phpBB3 installed, and its impossible to access another localhost (the word local is exactly that), so if you wish for me to see your phpbb chat module, you have to allow remote access.

But Sir can u try it on vertrigo or WAMP .
If u need my remote access then what's about privacy?

By "localhost", do you mean your FriHost account, or do you mean the localhost on your PC?
I was mean localhost of PC .
But if u want through frihost localhost then there should be online talk via hotmail or any other one .

Sorry for not replying sooner.
The fact that its on your localhost is a problem.
Basically, everyone has a localhost (or: 127.0.0.1) and its -your- localhost, which means only you can access it by default.
You have to allow outside access, via your IP address or domain name.
WAMP may have a feature to allow this.
And I don't exactly know how to help you, unless you can show me an example.
Alternatively, the AJAX script site probably have a help forum to deal with this sort of problem.
I have decided to change it into VBulletin
