What changed? :S

Ok, so its not really a problem as I can find an easy work-around, but I was wondering what changed.

When I open up my "C:" drive (my main drive where windows is installed) by double-clicking, the following message comes up:

Quote:
Choose the program you want to use to open this file

...along with a list of programs. The workaround is to right click--->explore

Before this occurred, the "E:" (CD) drive disappeared from My Computer, even when a CD was in. This problem was sorted after restarting.

But the C drive still isn't opening normally. I don't really mind if I'm honest as its not the end of the world, but I was wondering what could of caused this.

I did test out numerous pieces of software, could this of caused the problem?

autorun.inf is probably at C:\

use command prompt and delete it. and restart. that should solve the problem... if the problem persist, get yourself a good anti virus and do a little scanning.

good luck.

I had this problem with my USB drive after plugging it in into my school computers. It runs a trojan everytime it is plugged in but my anti-virus detected and deleted it. But then it's hidden. To delete the file I had to:

Code:
attrib -H C:\autorun.inf
del C:\autorun.inf
