I visited it with my parents for years at the campsite Tunarica. It's near Rabac, a quite nice town with a great beach.

Our tentative plan is to fly in to Dubrovnic (from München), drive up to Split, then go through the islands back down to Dubrovnic. We're there for a week, so that should be pretty nice we think.

I was there loooong time ago (1987) , on an island called Pag I think, and I absolutly loved it!! The country is beautiful, the people was great, loved the food......oh...I want to go back some day..
Visit the Krka waterfall and buy some wine made of fig (it is excellent).

Where is the Krka waterfall?
I'll go in August in Croatia. On the Solta island. I'll post photos when I come back

Curious, what made you choose Solta island? It's close to where I'll be going. I'm doing a Dubrovnic-Split-Hvar-Korcula-Dubrovnic loop. Are you doing other islands other than Solta, or just Solta?
I will also be there in August. Hope it's not too too hot...
That was the most balanced offer. I'll go in trips on the other islands too.

Nice! That's way cheaper than the places I've been finding. Is it a resort that you're staying at?
Yes, but I don't know many details. I go with a friend and he bought the tickets. I'll ask him.
