Which is better?
I prefer SMF. its easy to use, secure, had lot of Mods.
i would prefer phpbb2 but among those two, SMF would be far better in terms of support and user-friendly interface. good luck.
I would choose phpbb. It has got better quality themes and mods available for it, but I dont like its admincp.
i prefer phpbb as it is free of charge and it is much well established as compared to any other forum programs that I have tested. try it out, it is a very nice one with many plugins that you can get free of charge or for small charge depending on what you need.
