webmike
hello,

i want to buy a physix graphic card, but i don't know if it provides a 100% better
quality of the graphic. Does somebody tell me something about his experience with
that card?

thx

Try posting your question in one of the computer forums. There are several if you scroll a little further down the index, and I'm sure you'll be more likely to get the info you need there.

No, it does not provide 100% better quality. Basically what a PhysX card does is model world physics in the game better. So let's say you're playing a first person shooter game, and you throw a grenade at a bunch of cardboard boxes, the physics card will show the boxes bouncing around more realistically than if you don't have a physics card.

Note that only certain games support the physics cards also.

I would say they are for enthusiasts only, for regular gamers it is not worth the cost.

If the games you want to play don't use PhysX then a PhysX card will not be any better than a normal graphics card.
