Launching and Closing true PHP an Aplication on PC

Well erm the topic said it.........

I am wondering how you make a php page that can launch an aplication on someones computer.
Also that he can close it.

I know it is something with SHELL programming but i wanted to know that it is possible with PHP.

Hopefully you can say what i must do because i dont know this stuff. Very Happy

php is executed on the server. So there is no way you can do something on a user-pc unless you get them to install php first and then execute the script through php.

wel it is for a gameserver...... so erm and the file is located on my pc Very Happy

Do i need to install PHP on my pc before this?

(I am totaly sux in this sry if i say things what is not right)

if the php file is on your pc you can only run the file on your pc, and only if you have PHP installed.
