They already do not know the real life, and now they will be chased by papers and media artists for headline stories and interviews. If I was a judge, I would publically hang the bastard.
^Hang him? He hasn't got too much longer to live anyway, so that's not much of a punishment. 50 years behind bars would be more suitable. He certainly won't live out the sentence, and for the rest of his life, he can have a little taste of what it was like for his daughter. Perhaps some fellow inmate would do him the justice of teaching him what it is like to be raped as well...
That would be a far fairer punishment, I would say.
Humans are essentially good and moral creatures, right? 
Yeah read about this on the newspapers yesterday. He made this underground dungeon, lured her into the basement when 24 years ago and she has been locked up there ever since. Even have a concrete door that he only knows the code. So if he were to have died before they were discovered, there would have been and extra 4 innocent lives lost. To think that he actually continuously raped her and fathered 7 children with her. Just sick beyond words. And to also deny them from ever seeing the world..... 
When i heard the news, i was so upset that this kind of crime is much worse than the crime that Dutroux a criminal in Belgium has done. What don't understand is that nobody found it strange that the guy so many times has been present in the basement and that console panel of the dungeon where was that hidden?
What also stuns is that nobody in the last years taught that there so many job was done in the creation of that dungeon.
I think that there are more people involved then is assumed on present day.
I hope that this criminal will have a trial that nobody has ever seen and the punishment in my eyes is death.
It is impossible that you rape your own daughter and get seven children with her. What also set my question, who helped those children born?
I must stop with this, because i get freaky on this subject.
That S.O.B. ought to have a trial.
Then have a national lottery for who gets to kill him.
Give a third of the proceeds to the girl to raise those babies,
and then put the other two thirds in trust funds for the babies.

- to justify his daughter's disappearance, he told his wife that their daughter has joined a cult and even impersonated her in a phone conversation with his wife
- he has fathered 7 children with his daughter, one of them has died at birth. Ages of the children: daughter 19, son 18, daughter 16, daughter 15, son 12, son 5. The bigger 2 ones and the little one have never seen daylight or other persons until now.
- he was allowed by the authorities to adopt three children (those aged 16, 15 and 12) after claiming to find them abandoned at his door with letters from his daughter. Allegedly these 3 children had a normal life. They have never seen their mother until now.

For me it's amazing that he was able ho hide all these for 24 years. Either he is a very convincing person or all the others are stupid or indifferent: wife, grown-up children, relatives, tenants, acquaintances, neighbors, social workers.
What if he didn't release her himself? Its really hard to hear these kinds of thing happening in such a modern civilised society.The culprit should be seriously punished.He should be thrown to jail without any chance of even a bail. 
This is just disturbing in so many ways...
