What you've got so far looks like it should work decently. However, I recommend you try custom referrals, you can choose the ads displayed. For me they make me about 10x more money (yeah, its great), however knowing what your visitors will want is always a bit of a gamble.

I'm no Google Adsense veteran but I think it's good to have the ads where the content is. Right now it is on the right. Maybe directly under your post could be good but watch out. It can distract the the visitors. As it is now you don't distract the visitors and thats good but question is how much they will click your ads. Best is to try different placement to see what works best.
I don't know if I can place them directly under posts. When I tried to do it, it appeared below the comments (at the bottom of the page).
