Photogs: Bugs (Macro)

It's really hard to do macro shots when your eyes can't focus up close. Rolling Eyes

Twin Turbo-Prop Skeeter HawK:

Lots of these around right now. My 3 year old finds them all over the place.

Taken with a Cybershot 7.2 mp with 12x Carl Zeis optics.

Good shots. I like first bug's wings. Did you used flash or it doesn't look to good in macro mode?

Thanks.

No flash on the skeeter hawk. I did use the flash on the moth, it was in my garage.

Here's a couple more recent ones. One of my Jeep knives and a flower.

Nice details with the macro. How do you keep these insects to stay still? Razz

That's easy... I let the chitlins play with them for a while so they get tired and don't move unless touched. Laughing Laughing

Just kidding. Just move up to them slowly.

Lovely details on that orange flower. Cool

Thought you were serious there for a bit. I once took a picture of a red dragon fly just like that. Wink

My favorite one is the Moth Head one, he looks so furry and he even looks like he is smiling Very Happy

The Wings look very shimmery, great macros, they all look very nice and clear at so close of a range.

Getting insects out of breath, nice idea Smile
