How to put images in google
same way how you get your web page into "normal google search". the keyword for your image would be the filename of the image, the link text pointing to the image, and text adjacent to the image.
good luck.

The best way to get your pictures indexed by google is to post them on high page-ranked sites/forums/blogs....
If you want to add a picture from your site, you first need to get your site indexed, then the pictures will come along.
A very important element is (or should be) the alt tag. <img src=... alt=keyword>
it is required to use proper keywords... But after one year of playing with Google, I've noticed that if I search for my tags I won't find my pictures, but if I search for the title of the page I found more than I want...

It can take a lot of time before the images show up in google. Be patient.. It can take several month.
I have had some site be up for over a year, and still have none of their images on google. Really, google should try to index images faster.
It depends... I had some images on google which I didn't know about.
Try to search on google images: "site:http://...."
And if I search for my picture's alt tag it wouldn't display my picture, but if I'd search for a close title (the title of the next page) my picture is revealed.... strange.

It's not very strange when you think how easy it is to have irrelevant text in the alt tag. The text there is not showed very. Often the image is associated with the page topic.
I don't know if it's help but in webmaster tools you can activate Enhanced image search. It will then be available on the image game Google Image Labeler and it will help google see what your image is about.
