Warning: This won't work like this on frihost server 2
For this to work Mysql has to be upgraded on server 2.
To see if this is still the case go to http://www.frih.net/phpinfo.php and find the mysql section. If 'Client API version' is changed to a version above 4.1 then drupal 6.2 should work.
for the server 1 phpinfo I now noticed I've always send users to the server 3 phpinfo. I couldn't find the server 1 phpinfo page now so I made one.

edit: Drupal 6.2 possible on server 1
http://rvec.frihost.net/drupal/
Versions 6.x should not have any big changes compared to this one.
uploading
first download the tar.gz file from http://drupal.org/drupal-6.2
you can upload the whole tar.gz file and upload it to your website root
then go to direct admin or cpanel
open the file manager and go to the tar.gz file
there press extract and in the form put the place where you want to extract it. (Note that in the file everything is put in a 'drupal-6.2' folder)(in cpanel it will extract it to the dir where it is in)
If you want to you can rename the folder in direct admin/CPanel (I renamed it to drupal)
you can now delete the tar.gz file, but it might be safe to keep it till after the installation in case something goes wrong. Don't forget to delete it after the installation because it takes up usefull space.
installation
go to http://you.frih.net/drupal (or if you named your folder something else go there)
you will be redirected to http://www.you.frih.net/drupal/install.php?profile=default
in direct admin/CPanel or ftp chmod /public_html/drupal/sites/default to 777 (change permissions and select all)
in direct admin/CPanel make a new database if you don't want to use an already existing one(mysql management->Create new Database in DA and MySQL® Database Wizard in CPanel (all privileges))
press 'Install Drupal in English' (other languages can be added later)
if you want to install drupal in a database which you share or want to share with other applications use a prefix in the advanced features. (I'd suggest 'drupal_').
the other advanced features aren't needed
don't forget to use your database prefix(username_) in front of the database name (rvec_ for me)
this is all I could do on frihost. I am now doing the rest on my own server and hope that it will be possible on frihost in the near future.
in direct admin/CPanel or ftp chmod /public_html/drupal/sites/default to 755 (change permissions and select read and exacute for all and write for user only)
enter a sitename, email address (used when sending mail from your site, better make this the same domain as your site).
enter an administrer username, email(not public) and a password
select a timezone, select clean urls if it's possible (search engine friendly and looks better)
check 'Check for updates automatically' , this is not always possible and might generate an error code but you can always turn it off
press save and continue
you installed drupal
you can now follow the instructions which will be visible on your homepage.
these instructions will dissapear after you created your first story
