To display an image you will need to use the "IMG" tags, like so...

[img]URL to image[/img]

This will then display an image into the forum thread, like so...

The image has to be linked to the direct image. For the image to display it has to be in a image format - for exaple I used the following code:

Code:

Some free services that can be used to host your images so you can easily display them on these forums are...

i maintain already 2 galleries on what i believe are very popular hosts, flickr and picasa.
both their formats of storing pix do not work here.
is it possible for you to rectify this?

cheers

another good host is putfile.com if you want to look into that as well

Probably the only ones who could fix it would be flickr and picasa themselves.
Whenever I want to host an image to post it here, I just FTP it into my frihost web space.

I would recommend you use Photobucket for your images that you want to post here, you can store them neatly and you just use the IMG code they give you and it is easy to post images in these forums.

Another idea if you want to use Flickr would be to "Right Click" on the image, then click on "Properties", then drag your mouse over the code in "Location" and click copy and then paste it here and add the [IMG][/IMG] tags.

NOTE:The "[img][/img]" tags must be capped like "[IMG][/IMG]" for it to work otherwise it will be a link.

It seems like a lot too do but then you don't need another account and it really doesn't take that long. You can click larger size to make the image any size you want it.

P.S. When you have your image [img]httpblah.com/image1.jpg[/img] make sure there is nothing after the .jpg other than the [/IMG] tag otherwise it will not show up. Flickr seems to put a "?v=0" after the image if you do it in Non all sizes mode.

I just looked back and it looks like a walk through but anyway, it is a good way to stick with Flickr and still post your images.
