Pokemon Online

freder
I recently read that nintendo has purchased a number of huge multiplayer game servers :WTF:

I for one hope that it is for a game that ive been thinking about for a while now, Pokemon Online.
Trust me i aint into the show etc but the games are very good and i can see myself buying it.
Imagine wondering around on a server that has 500 other trainers in it competing for the same goal. Shocked
Of course it would have to be alot harder than the normal pokemon games for it to work.

If nintendo were to pull this off right, with stuff like, great gfx, very good gameplay, a huge number of tasks, online chat through headset or just typing(the parents will hate it). Nintendo could also assign gym leaders etc and arrange festivals and all the little mini games etc that can be seen in the gba games.

The replay value will be great becoz since its online, the same thing aint gonna happen over and over.....

So i hope that on gamecube or N5 we see this game.

Er... what? This is ancient news! Gamecube is dead, and the codenamed "N5" is now called the Wii. Have you been... stuck in a box for the last few years maybe?

Nintendo have gone online with their Wi-Fi service on both the Wii and DS: games such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Tetris DS, Mario Kart DS, most of the Wii channels, and soon Wii Ware as well, to name but a few.

The pokemon game you were refering to is probably pokemon battle revolution which in my opinion is a terrible flop. In my opinion the all time BEST 3D pokemon game was Pokemon Stadium. There is just something about that game that really makes me tick in a totally different way than eg. Pokemon Colosseum or Pokemon XD. Smile

Well... If anyone remembers the non-3D games... As in up to third generation... NetBattle has been out for years now. Not Nintendo made, but definitely worth looking into, in my opinon:

I must say, this is the best thing that could happen to the first two generations (never cared for anything after those two). The metagame has now fully developed and the strategy of the game becomes apparent, rather than the pointless level-up training that usually occurs. The single-player is fine in that respect, but levelling soley for link battles is not my idea of fun... Which is why this tool is helpful.

Pokemon Battle Revolution is already out if thats whats your talking about. I bought this game like 2 days after it cames out. Its $50 I wish I had back. Its probably only fun if you have an DS. I only played it about three times after I bought it and never picked it up again. It was nothing like I imagined it to be.
