How to access more than one partition on a USB hard drive

Davidgr1200
I have installed a version of linux on a USB hard drive and would liek to create an extra partition which I can acces from windows as well. I know that in standard windows you cannot access more than the first partition, but there must be some freeware program which I can run under windows to enable me to do this. Anyone know which software I could use?

Do you want to install Windows on a different partition of this USB drive or just access the drive via Windows?

You should have no trouble accessing a partition from Windows. It should also be possible to boot from said partition using a boot manager. Windows can boot from partitions other than the first one.
