Correctly guess both the presidential candidates as well as their vice-presidential running mates for both parties and win 500 Frih$.
Please post your guess in the following format (example):
Rep: John McCain, Tim Pawlenty
Dem: Barack Obama, Bill Richardson
... where the first name is the presidential candidate and the 2nd name the VP. Please use complete names for candidates if there is any question as to who you mean (i.e. “George for VP” could mean any number of persons)
Rules:
- This thread will remain open until the last day of April 2008 and no guesses will be considered after this date.
- In the improbable event that Sen. McCain or another candidate should OFFICIALLY announce a running mate before the end of the Month, the thread will close retroactively at the time of the press release / statement.
- The designated candidates and running mates after the last day of each party's convention will be considered as correct answers and winnings will be distributed.
- Multiple posts will be accepted but only the last guess will be counted.
- Incomplete guesses (i.e. only one party ticket) will not be considered, even if there are multiple posts by the same frihoster.
- In case of multiple correct guesses, the winnings will be split.
- In case there are no winners, the FRIH& will be split among those having guessed at least one party ticket correctly. If no one guesses at least one ticket correctly, the FRIH$ will be used for a future question.

I think she will have a choice - no power, or vice president. I suspect that she might accept the latter - time will tell.I think that the hostility between them could simply be a passing thing, but Obama is so different from Hilary Clinton that for them to be running mates really wouldn't make all that much sense. I think Mike Gravel would make a great running mate even though most people have never heard of him.
Them being running mates might give them a better chance of winning the election, though. Obama wouldn't have to fight to reclaim Clinton supporters, and vice versa.

Yes, that is also a consideration I made. I think there will be increasing pressure on Clinton to accept a deal in order to concentrate on winning the election. If the contest continues 'to the bitter end' then it will damage the democratic chances in the actual election and I think this point is being, and will be, hammered home by the 'men in suits'.
