mysql dump in selected table

AOP Web Development
Hi, i would like to ask to those bash lovers, on how to do it dump mysql database.....

although i got some hint that it says..

mysqldump --opt -u username -p db_name | gzip > backup_file_name.sql.gz

i tried this and works fine... but what i want will dump the selected table on the specified database..

any ideas?

eeeh doesn't it say db_name so you can put a database-name in there? Or did I misunderstood your question?

ah.. yeah.. i know that, it's just an example command.. so what i want will be i can export selected table in 1 database.. let say i want to export only table1,2,3 and not the rest. but i want to do it in command line....

I think the only way to do that is to import them and than delete all others. I hope you don't have 50 or even more tables Razz
