Why do I see Server version: 4.0.23-standard-log in MySQL

Hi,

It's supposed that server is running MySQL 5.0, however phpmyadmin show me this:
Server version: 4.0.23-standard-log
MySQL client version: 4.0.23

I'm trying to create a view, and the server reject my sintax, being MySQL 4.0 it could be a reason, but, why am I obtaining that version? how can I work with MySQL 5.0 here?

server 2 has mysql 4.0.23

server 1 has mysql 5.0.22

you are on server 2 so ...

If you somehow send me the sql files I could try to make them mysql4 compatible.

Thanks for your help, however I found out that MySQL views are an snapshot, if something change in my tables, the views won't reflect it. Because of that, I've desisted on using views for my app.

By the way, why do you have different versions of mysql in each server?
