problem for a few weeks with .eu.org domain

i got the following domain recently: whatsyourimpact.eu.org

after this i also needed to get dns hosting for the domain which i got using by signing up with FreeDNS

after trying different options and then reading post on our forum (the natural order of things...) i was able to get www.whatsyourimpact.eu.org working by adding www as a sub domain in the menu. i put the following options:

Type: NS
Subdomain: www
Domain: whatsyourimpact.eu.org(public)(stealth)
Address: ns1.frih.net

after this i added whatsyourimpact.eu.org as a new Domain Pointer in my direct admin and now we have a working http://www.whatsyourimpact.eu.org Smile cool

what i want to know is how can i get whatsyourimpact.eu.org working without the www?
the only thing that i got to work was a url redirect...

I've been having this problem for a few weeks now i was hoping that maybe someone from this part of the forum could help me! thanks in advance

i dont think this will help but i figured out the way to fix this finally! all i had to do was add 216.32.85.170 as the address. change the domain type to Type: A - Point subdomain.domain.com to a hard coded IP Address. also i put no Subdomain and finally set it to public and stealth. anyway hopefully this post can be used by others having the same problem as me in the future. thanks for everyones help!

Congratulations! It's very pleasing to discover the solution for your problems alone, isn't it?

i think a faq on this sort of thing would have been a lot better but sure if it was a test to see if i can figure out my own solutions i guess i passed! Laughing Laughing
