I wouldn't say he's desperate. I think Liverpool was part of the bidding too and I'm sure he would have preferred to return to Anfield.
I'm interested to see what kind of impact that he and Solano will have. Maybe they'll be enough to turn the season around and save Souness his job.

I really belive in this guy.. aspecially now when he went for Newcastle... he can't play with a bounch of indivdualists like they in Ream Madrid..
And one more thing... His gonna winn the best striker price... if not this year, the next year. That I'm sure of.
