I went to OU as a college student and my professor said "All scientists are evolutionists" it made me think... why do people have to beleive in something that is not true in order to succeed in life?
alot of people are going to hell because they want to "fit in" with the world, the thing of evolution i believe is: the fact that the world is getting older and more technology is appearing.
but,if we came from monkeys then atleast 1 person on earth would have a tail, i want me a tail, i could really use one of them

Wow. That's better than any argument I could come up with.
Not that I believe in evolution (duh) but please, go learn the theory. It doesn't say "WE CAME FROM MONKEYS".
This is what the time-line of the Earth is believed to be.
* 4 billion years of simple cells (prokaryotes),
* 3 billion years of photosynthesis,
* 2 billion years of complex cells (eukaryotes),
* 1 billion years of multicellular life,
* 600 million years of simple animals,
* 570 million years of arthropods (ancestors of insects, arachnids and crustaceans)
* 550 million years of complex animals
* 500 million years of fish and proto-amphibians,
* 475 million years of land plants,
* 400 million years of insects and seeds,
* 360 million years of amphibians,
* 300 million years of reptiles,
* 200 million years of mammals,
* 150 million years of birds,
* 130 million years of flowers,
* 65 million years since the non-avian dinosaurs died out and
* 200,000 years since humans started looking like they do today.
Evolution is pretty much proven, but this argument is kind of repetitive..
How proven? See my 'Evolution' thread.

Evolution as a mechanism: Proven by watching it.
Evolution as a theory for the origin of modern species: Proven by tens of thousands of papers' worth of scientific evidence for, and a sum total of zero with evidence against.

Actually, there are a few records of people with a tail mutation. We still have a vestige called a tailbone where we once held tails. There is a scientific name for it, but I do not know what it is called.
To believe in creationism and call yourself is a scientist you have to be a pseudoscientist. To even call creationism, or intelligent design a theory is a mockery of the scientific method. There is no scientific basis for creationism --- it is all mythos which we cannot actually prove with hard fact. There is no math or observation to prove it, only thought experiments and philosophy.
Evolution through natural selection is an accepted theory, peer reviewed by many, many scientists, observed, and evolved throughout its existence to become a very time-tested theory. In fact, it has survived over 100 years of fundies attempting to knock it down.
Theory in your everyday practice has gone to mean what a scientist would call a hypothesis --- a guess. In order for a scientist to create a scientific theory, however, they need clear data to support it, and a lot of it. For many theories hundreds of trials have to be conducted before acceptance.
Interesting photo and certainly relevant to the debate, but providing a source is usually best to avoid allegations of 'touching up'.
It doesn't say we came from monkeys. At least try to learn it before spouting off nonsense.

Ha, not bad, is that pic real??
Sorry 'bout that.
I went on http://images.google.com/ and typed "human with tail" and got a few results.
jeremyp has already listed one of the sites with images of people with tails, another is http://www.dimaggio.org/Eye-Openers/tails_in_humans.htm
It really is impossible to begin having this discussion with someone who can't (or doesn't want to) comprehend basic science and biology. Read up on evolution, then try to start a discussion (hint: it doesn't say "we came from monkeys"). Your arguments are incredibly weak, mostly because you don't know what you're talking about nor is there really any evidence to discount evolution.

I'd advise simply not talking about this until you actually learn it. What you said sounded unbelievably ignorant. I'll start with the last line, because that one was the worst.
It is believed that human beings and the other great apes (human beings are also apes, but we tend to separate ourselves apart in discussion) came from a common ancestor. It is not believed that we came from monkeys. Furthermore, apes and monkeys are completely different. One of the differences is a tail. Apes do not have tails.
I don't think anyone believes in evolution in order to "fit in." I don't believe in evolution in order to "fit in." I believe in it, along with many other people, because there is an extreme amount of evidence supporting it and it explains the way that the world works.
Oh, by the way, I almost died laughing when you said, "it made me think... why do people have to beleive in something that is not true in order to succeed in life?" I could easily counter that by saying, "Priests aren't exactly very successful when you compare them to the power that they used to have."
The thing that amazes me is the idea that scientists would 'believe' something in order to get on. I speak with a number of scientists on a regular basis and I can say, in all honesty, that I have never come across a more cantankerous, awkward and downright argumentative bunch of people.
(And long may it remain so).
