Check out Compfight, a Flickr search tool that's much better than Flickr's own one.

try sxu.hu for free stock pictures.
DeviantArt pictures are mostly not copyrighted but some are so be carefull to not take copyrighted one

Getting free images online is easy. First, find a picture on one of the sites mentioned above, then right click on the image and click "Save Image As...," then save it to a folder that is easy to find.
