Are there any users out there who are addicted to doing stuff through the command line? Maybe you are used to Linux / Unix at your university or workplace, but can't get rid of the Windows machine for your personal use?
What sort of tools do you use to get the proper 'shell' experience in Windows?
I use the following:
Windows Power Shell (Monad) : This provides a nice scripting environment within Windows, and best of all, it is tailored such that many *nix commands work in a nice way inside it!
PowerCmd : This makes it easier for me to create Terminals / Konsoles, with tabs in them, split consoles into different screens, and so on. Within each PowerCmd tab, I start the Windows Power Shell, and voila! I can get almost the *nix experience with Windows, and I am able to run all Windows programs properly too!
