Yes - it has just been reported on Science Forums - Apparently the epicentre was in Hull and it measured 4.7 on the Richter scale. It was felt over quite a large area, no reports of any damage yet.

Jus watchin sky news now.. 15 mile NE Lincoln (epicenter). They've just confirmed it at 00.56.43 ... Felt really odd the way it was a roll.. Other tremors I've felt have been really shaky..

Funnily enough I didn't feel a thing here in Frodsham, just down the M56. Being a natural cynic I must therefore conclude that it didn't happen and everyone is obviously deluded Smile

Nope - I've thought of a better explanation - clearly the number of reports mean the earthquake was genuine and that means that my house is obviously completely immune to earthquakes (my wife didn't notice it either and she was lying in bed reading). I must phone the estate agent tomorrow and up the house value by 50 grand Smile

Ahh...now you mention it....I'm sure this room wasn't in the cellar earlier....still, no problem - natural damping (ouch).

Yeah my girlfriend felt it here in Liverpool. She was in the flat on the 2nd floor and said the bed shook etc and phoned me up. I was at work but didn't feel a thing Sad 5.2 magnitude it was apparently.
