I just got back from an all inclusive trip to the Dominican Republic, and it was awesome! It's a beautiful country, and the people are exceptionally nice. I went with my girlfriend for a week and everything was either at or above expectations.
The one thing, though, is that Dominican Republic is a third world nation, and it's a little disheatening on the road to the resort because you see so much poverty. It's weird because you see these huts with palm roofs, and then suddenly a gorgeous all inclusive resort. It's bizarre, but at least I know I help fuel their number one trade (tourism) just by going there.
