I am OK with the choice. Just think, they could have used a Tata Nano - LOL. They chose the Mustang because Ford offered them the most $$$. It is called product placement dollars. Can't hurt Ford considering that version of the Mustang ain't selling well.
I thought the Mustang was one of Ford's few successful models. In any case, it's obvious that Ford was just the highest bidder. It would've made a lot of sense for GM to try to position the new Camaro in that role. Maybe they were satisfied with the Transformers GM ad... erm... movie.
It's not possible.
FORD does not possess the technological know-how to effectively produce a car such as KITT. In fact, the Engineering department of the Ford Motor Company is run by, wait for it.... MARKETING!
That's right, folks. When you buy a Ford, you are buying something designed by a person whose career focuses on and is governed by aesthetic principals instead of functionality and performance.
I refuse to buy a vehicle designed on the premise that Function should follow Form.
^Ford has gone downhill lately. I would buy an old ford, but never a new one. They used to be durable and reliable, but no more. The point was brought home to me when I saw a commercial for their pickups. They showed the old pickups surviving being airdropped and showed one being carried across the bed of another across rough terrain. Then they show new ones just driving down the road. I'd like to see the new ones survive what they show the old ones taking. I'd also like to see the new mustangs last 40 years like some old ones have.
Hell YES
it is a MUSTANG
