I take trips to lake eire, and they sell washcloths like this on road side stands. I guess that way they can make 10 bucks off a simple washcloth
By the way, did you design the shirt, or just think it is cool?
What's the T-Shirt made of? Is it some sort of new material? It's amusing to see the shirt getting expanded when dipped in cold water...
I thought you were joking at first seeing how little the shirt is. but then it expands.. that is interesting.
It looks like a good hydraulic press and a set of dies might produce that effect.
So, so cool, i wourld like to have one of em just in case, but does it dry quickly?
That's an interesting idea. I bet kids (like 10 and under) would really enjoy using these.
I think its possible to compress any cloth item like that, you just have to apply enough pressure. It is cool how they made it so that the shirt stayed in the same shape with the logo in the same place for the entire time.
That is pretty cool. I know it's not that new of a material, because I remeber as a kid going into a store at the mall seeing something like this, and begged my mom to get it for me.
It's a rather cool process.
really cool stuff. Nice for carrying clothes on long trips. there would be places where your colthes are compressed like this so you can put more things on your luggage.
It would only work for carrying clothes one way. Once you have put them in water, they cannot go back to that small form they come in, they are in the normal T-Shirt size for good. Atleast that's how it was when I was about 5 years old.
Ah...this is sorta off topic/not the point but, you might want to change the title of this thread. That thing's Chinese. the backside instructions are in Chinese and comic.cn is a Chinese site, not Japanese.
Anyway. o.o regardless, that's cute. XDD I have a strange love for miniature things. But, it seems kinda dangerous the way he was using an X-acto knife to cut open the plastic wrap on that thing o.0; might accidentally cut the cloth inside or something >.>; then that would be 1 big...rip on god knows where. o.o;;;
I wonder why comic.cn had their own toy t-shirt o.o; they are a Chinese manga community site...so these are probably not targeted at kids under the age of 10 o.o; (Then again, if that thing requires the use of something as sharp as an X-act to open, that might not be kids-safe to start with o.o; )
I think he was just cutting off the plastic wrap around the package, not trying to open it. So you could easily rip that stuff off with your hands.
That whole thing you put in cold water I think, and there is just like plastic wrap going around it. So you wouldn't have to use a knife to get it off I don't think.
The one I got as a kid I don't remeber much a bout the package, but I don't remeber a knife being involved in opening it. Then again it was a long time ago.
Wow!! Where can i buy one t-shirt like that??? Hahahha amazing!!!
wow what a shirt man....i want to buy this shirt....for that i have to go to japan....really cool tee.....good work
Cool, but I still dont think it'll fit me
muito interessante essa blusa
I've seen those here in the States in novelty shops -- t-shirts, beach towels, stuff like that. It's just really well compressed into the packaging, and the water just allows it to return to it's normal shape without wrinkles. Still pretty cool, makes it easier to pack all those souvenir t-shirts you buy on vacation.
That's really cool. Not to mention clever. While I am here in Japan I'll have to look out for things like that!

Its not Japanese, I think. The URL and lettering tells me its Chinese. I have seen small tiny rubbery insects that when dropped into a bottle of water will expand and grow big. I suppose the same method is done for this t-shirt.
Pretty cool...
I looked at this thread two weeks ago and now I'm looking at it again. I still can't believe that such a thing exists...
i heard about the japanese t shirt.its really cool.but who all will wear it.
