i want to transfer my forum onto my new site www.crzybunny.info from my other site www.andysserver.frih.net because all my members moan about my forum having downtime, i use SMF for my forum so what im asking over all is how do i trnsfer my forum from one web host to another because iv tryed but i dont seem to be getting anywhere.
is it possible for me to transfer my forum and mysql?
copy all the files, backup the database. Then put it all on the new host.
It will probably give some errors because the wrong path is set. You should change all the paths and login info(for the database) in the config file and after that there are probably some paths set in the database, you should also change those. The path set can either be something like http://url.frih.net/smf or /home/users/andy/public_html/smf both need to be changed to the ones you have on the new server.
