what is the best herb to relieve a panic attack?
kava... 5htp?
anything.
I had a panic attack last 5 hours... I am desperate to get something to help me without a RX.
i heard kava is the best.
but i've also heard that 5htp is the best.
what do you guys think?
i've about 15 attaks in 3 weeks 2 or 3 bad ones.
one SEVERE one.

ahh, that sux. Well I would say take some pills cause everything like herbs and stuff are put into pills lol.

I read your story.

Panick attack is almost 100% can be cured even without medication.
A best is cognitive-behaviroal changing therapy.
Start reading some books on that -- go to library.

And start walking. one-hour a day. make it a habbit.
If you're physically ready, then try jogging (12 minutes a mile pace).
Run slowly (like you walked) an hour.

It's a great idea to join local runner's club -- who meet once a week and run together.

As you walk, jog, run, you will find it's ok, good, fine, and wonderful!

As you struggle against to the fear and panicking feeling, you will get hard thing back.
So, whispering yourself, "Let it be. Let it be."

The fear will go away sooner or later. Why? because it's illusory feeling, nothing can harm you in truth from the panic feeling.

i've done so much research... i just want a good herb to take that can help it until i can go to the dr.
also... that's a great first post and welcome to the forum

I agree, great first post. I like the part about excercise. Just another reason to excercise. Also I heard that getting angry helps in a pinch to overcome a panick attack. That has to be kept within reason though and not directed at someone openly.

You (the poster who asked) might want to get angry at your panick attacks. If you have gotten angry before at the situation when I was afraid, maybe you know that the anger overcomes the fear. So perhaps that is a natural way to get over panicky fear. Not blow up anger of course, just something simple like just feeling the anger.

I have anxiety attacks sometimes too. They aren't good, we all know that. I would honestly rather take some RX for it. Im pretty active, so the exercise is already included in my daily routines. I wonder what they prescribe for that. I must research.
