What software do I need to download to open a .ps file?
.ps file
A .ps file is a post script file. you can read more on here: http://people.scs.fsu.edu/~burkardt/data/ps/ps.html
You can think of postscript as a forerunner of PDF. If you're on windows then GhostViewer should do the trick.

Or, my personal preference, Foxit will do the job too. Not only that but it kicks the ass of Adobe's viewer for PDFs (it doesn't take 10 seconds to open!)

You can also convert it with PDFCreator to pdf and open it with your favorite PDF viewer
Use Ghostscript, which will convert .ps to pdf
or
you can use Free PDF Tools availabl at http://www.pdfill.com/pdf_tools_free.html

I have downloaded and installed Ghostview and it worked out successfully.
It's usually a good idea to convert these to PDF files, since they're samller and more portable...
.ps file is a postscript file which you can open with ghostscript and ghostviewer. you can download it easily from the net and it is free of charge. just do a bit of googling and you will find it.
