Topics Key Codes

I did a search on this, didn't find anyone that suggested it.

My suggestion for the Support and Web-hosting section would be to Key code every like such below

For Request an Account Change Section

[Account Cancellation- Accnt Creator] Reason
[Account Reset- Accnt Creator] Account Name To Reset - CPANEL / Direct Admin
[Sub Change - Accnt Creator ] SUB DOMAIN TO SUB DOMAIN

Web Hosting Support
[Forgot/Lost Password - Accnt Creator] Account Name
[Server # Down ] Date & Time Noticed
[ How to ] What you need to know
[Question] - The_question
[Issue Solved] - To show their need for support is solved, these topics can be easy looked over since they are solved.

More can be created, I have seen about 30+ different types of sub domain changes & account cancellations types requested different ways. I think it would make support A LOT easier. Most of the topics created are not specific enough to know what they needed help with, Such as

    hi
    FTP Woes
    ip
    could I get

Of course this is just a suggestion in my opinion.

I think it's a good suggestion. But I doubt a lot of users will use it since most don't even search the FAQ and stickies if asking something in the support.

Maybe add an extra option to the subject part when making a new post/topic. A select box next to the subject with those options where someone posting can select one.

I will tell you why we haven't implemented it yet.
First of all, simply stating it in a sticky or anything won't work, as Rvec has mentioned.
The best thing is obviously a select box, but such feature will not be coded in near future due to loads of work already put on our Admin's figners.
Nevertheless it's a good idea, and may be integrated somewhere in the future.

Well, why does it have to automatic.

Just add a couple of lines in the posting.php script which check witch forum you're posting in. If its one of the 'special' ones, place a select form just before the topic title.

Then in the php part of things, apend the 2 titles together

(If that made any sense!)

if that made sence

Sure it did...but it would be even easier (arguably) to do it with javascript.

..also it wouldn't really take any work form the admins...I could code it in the weekend, and that would be it Smile
