Off topic: Dogs and cats love antifreeze. Do not ever leave them alone around it, like in the front yard when you're working on your car in the driveway. It's a major pet killer.

Ethylene glycol (antifreeze) is indeed sweet. It chemical relation (di-ethylene glycol) has previously been used by dodgy wine-makers to sweeten cheap wine.
