HTML file paths

I have a website and im trying to organise the files so that the computer is reading the right file etc:

Can someone give me all the directory things

I know eg

i/index.html and

i/g/t/a/h/g.html etc

its going down that is the problem

../images/.index.html

is the only 1 i remember

Can you re-frame your question a bit more clearly please?!?

Your question isn't clear enough for me to answer properly, but to go down you just follow your first example (dir1/dir2/dir3/index.html) and to go up you just use ../

For example if you are at the index.html in the example above and want to go up to dir1, the code would be ../../../

I hope that explains it.
