What's that?

Urban
I got this alert twice in a row when I was trying to read a topic.

It's in french but you can easily understand what Avast is detecting.. I just can't understand why I get this, seriously Confused

When I clicked "Submit" to post "What's that?" (the first topic) I got another alert and I wasn't able to post the screenshot again because I just can't read any topic.

Sorry for the double-topic but maybe it's not me and frihost could have been hacked (or something else)..

Umm I don't get any warnings from my anti-virus/firewall when I read topics. Perhaps it thinks Frihost is infected with malware or something. Confused
Urban
Yes, it's detecting a worm and the name is "VBS:Malware-gen".

I'm not a pro in this matter but maybe it could be something with cookies? Infected cookie?
SpellcasterDX
Possibly. You should do a full system scan to make sure everything's ok.

I've merged both topics to be easier to follow up.

From what i found on this subject, it's a false positive in Avast due to a recent update. It's also affecting other avast+phpBB users.

From the phpBB Forum ( http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=721545&p=4033605 ) i read :

I did a little research and it looks like many people are having this same problem. I started occurring after an update to Avast. More than likely a false positive due to an error in the latest Avast definitions update.

In this post an Avast Administrator says it's it's an obvious false alarm and that they'll be fixing it.

Looks like Avast fixed the problem. If you are still have this problem update your virus definitions.

Thanks to Avast for getting this fixed so quickly. If this was some of the (to remain unnamed) big virus scanner companies we would be waiting weeks.

Try and update your anti-virus again and it should *with luck*, now be gone.

Edit: Bah, that Bock guy beat me... again! Twisted Evil
