No access to FTP and cPanel

HalfBloodPrince
Whether this is a problem with my account or Frihost, I don't know.

Since last night, my FTP account (ftp.acwiki.frihost.net) simply won't connect. I needed to upload the files for phpBB3, and about halfway through the upload, it just disconnected and stopped connecting (my internet is obviously working fine). This is what appears:
Quote:

Status: Resolving IP-Address for ftp.acwiki.frihost.net
Status: Connecting to 72.249.102.79:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...

Etc...

I then tried to access my cPanel (acwiki.frihost.net/cpanel), but it won't even open the log-in popup, it just says (in Firefox) Problem Loading Page - The connection has timed out. The server at host.frihost.net is taking too long to respond.

So what's wrong here? I use Filezilla for FTP, by the way.

Thanks
HalfBloodPrince
Just a note, cPanel doesn't come on IE or FireFox..

Just tested and your cPanel link works here.

As for FTP, just tested my account on VPS1 (same server as yours) and it's also working.

Please retry and confirm you don't have any connection problems from your side (firewall?)

Actually, I think it may be something with my account, as I had an old hosting account on frihost which was on server 2 (acwiki.frih.net) and the domain didn't get fully deleted, so when I tried connecting with that (obviously it wouldn't work) I still entered the old login details and it went a few steps further until it told me the login was incorrect, but the connection didn't time out....so it has to be something specific to this account... Confused

So no, its still not working and I'm having the same problems...

please just wait. Don't bump the topic after only 2 days of waiting and use the edit button instead of double posting.

An admin will look into this when he has the time

Problem fixed. Guess it was just a temporary thing...

you should've looked in the pm you got when your hosting was approved for the username and password. Your username is not exactly the same and neither is your password.

I am using Filezilla on Ubuntu Gutsy. I have used it to successfully connect to other servers.

When I try to connect to my new site, my password is always rejected.

(I set up the account with cpanel.)

How should I proceed?

I get the same error. I can't change my pass or log into any FTP client. I've tried 5 different ones, and set Filezilla to Active.
