I'm a little confused as to what you mean. Do you mean you already have a site and are looking to make money from that, or are you looking for ideas on how to make money?

Well, it's not easy if you don't have a lot of traffic on your website. If you have a big userbase with lots of hits (especially uniques) then try out www.adsense.com - if you don't want to be too in-your-face about advertising use Google's content driven text ads which are relevant to the page. You can read more about it on that site. Of course there's also Ebay if you want to sell some of the stuff you have kicking about. Still though, it's quite a vague question as mentioned above.
Money isn't earned easily, so there is no way to actually make $1000 in one night as some people claim online using those pyramid schemes. There are ways to make some form of money either in gift cards, cash or gifts.
My first suggestion is online surveys. They pay peanuts but they build up. I think mypoints is one, where you take surveys and so on and they award you points. Eventually you can redeem them for gifts, gift cards and so on.
Another form as suggested on top is to use Adsense from Google or any other Paid Advertisment form. This one requires alot of effort to make an Honest buck. By honest, I mean not creating adfarms but instead build a web site with rich content and features and attract people. Advertisers pay you based on different schemes. Some sites have auctions where a publisher can pay top bucks for a popular site. I remember I saw an auction for an ad on Newgrounds that was at $400-500.00 just for a banner for a limited time. So you can imagine how much hard work pays off. There was also a story about this young women who started a myspace template site, she made big bucks in a few years.
