Blog Comment Tags

I keep seeing Wordpress blog comment text fields that say

"You may use <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <blockquote cite=""> <code> <strike> in your comment. "

I understand a basic text link but don't know what what a link title is.

I understand , , and <strike> </strike>.

What is

- <acronym title="">
- <blockquote cite="">
- <code>
- 

Do all them need closing tags?

yes, all those need closing tags. is a synonym for , <code> is for displaying code (wow!) and is related to <pre>. The <abbr> and <acronym> are for abbreviations and acronyms, and the title attributes tell what the tooltip should be (what its short for). Blockquote is for quotes......
Really the best way to learn about these is to experiment with them.

Thanks jabapyth, The blogs that I've seen these on do not have any preview, edit or delete functions and comments need approved before they post. So trying to test these tags is difficult.

I knew they would be easy once I saw it.
I did do several google searches on it and couldn't find the right explanation.
