I noticed I have something in my tire.
It has been in there at least two weeks now (for all I know, it has been there since I bought it), and I haven't lost any pressure.
Now, would that be possible with an ordinary car? You might disagree, but I think the worse gas mileage is worth it!
The screw got caught in the thick part of the tire, and the tire 'ate' it right up. A normal street tire would surely have been flattened by the same thing.
In more detail! I can't help it; I like showing off the macro on my camera.
I think the worse gas mileage is not worth it. But that depends n where you live..
I don't like trucks. I have one, but I want to get a normal car instead. I have a pick up truck and seems like such a waste in gas because I never actually use it as a pick-up truck. I always just use it as a normal car. I very occasionally have anything in the bed of the truck. So I don't think it's worth it. They also spin out easier so you have to go slower, especially in the rain.
It all depends.....see if you live in San Diego or LA or somewhere warm, a truck probably isn't worth it. But if you live in a place like I do...Alaska, you are going to want to have a truck or some sort of SUV instead of a car. Too much ice, slush, and snow to want just a car. A good 4x4 just gets around better. And some of the newer ones get gas milage around 22 miles a gallon...not as good as a car, but not horrible.
Worse gas mileage is worth a screw in d tire?
I really does depend what you will be using the vehicle for and the driving conditions. And driving a truck 2 my workplace is an absolute NO NO for me
dude
milage should be a primary concern for everybody....
oil is depleting fast...
we have to save oil....
I just wonder if its a full screw or just the head of a screw
Was that a rear tire?
Things will usually lay flat on the ground.
When a front tire rolls over it, it can flip upright
just long enough for it to puncture the rear tire.

Why can't you drive a truck to work? That seems a little strange to me.

Nice prediction; it was a rear tire!
ive worked for many years as a tyre fitter working with all kinds of tyres so I do know a lot about them
It is true that the bigger the tyre the thicker the rubber is going to be.
But believe it or not I have found near on just as many items in car tyres that have not caused a puncher as i have in truck tyres.
It all depends on the angle an position that the item enters the tyre. ie: I have pulled a 3" nail out of a car tyre without a puncher and a 2"nail out of a truck with a puncher.
It's not that they are better. They may be better for certain things, but cars also have their advantages over trucks.
It's just personal preference really, and what you need it for.
That is very cool though, luckly it was on the tread. I think one day that is going to be a problem though if you don't get it fixed sooner or later.

Your weird. I mean, really weird.
"I got a dent in my car the other day, but its ok - its already well dented.
You might disagree - but driving a sh*ibox is worth it"

Ah, and a sh*ibox truck is even better. You can drive it through whatever you want, brush, road barriers, traffic signs, et cetera and not worry about anything! Just put a reinforced front bumper on, and don't worry about scratches, dents and rust.

Ha Ha yeah thats specifically why I bought myself a $50 car. Of course it doesnt really help when your $50 car gets a $200 fine for no warrant of fitness...
^My first car was a $600 nissan pickup. I once backed it into a light pole, said "oops" put it in forward gear, and just drove away. It was about half a week before I even looked to see how damaged it was.
Its a wonderful feeling to have a new scratch or dent and just not care.
yeah on a truck tire like mine the nobbies can handle like a half inch screw without it falling out...a thin car tire would rip to shit if that went in.
