polish history - until 18 century
polish history - until 18 century
What about Polish history. Are you an expert looking for a commission,
or are you some one seeking the illustrious help of some one in the know.
Either way you are unlikely to get a decent reply to your post unless you are more forth comming.
I will tell you something quite nice about Polish History and Romanian History...

This picture show "Palatul Culturii" (Palace of Culture) in Iasi, Romania. Do you see the statue in the front? "The guy" was the greatest ruler of the land: Stefan cel Mare (let's translate it as "The Great Stephan" - 45 years without ottomans in the country - this was really great).
This Stefan cel Mare is in ALL Romanian history books and also in our churches: we consider him a saint...
Because my grandfather was a priest and because I lived more than 7 years in this town, Iasi, I heard about the rumors: in that statue, is not Stefan... in that statue is... JAN SOBIESKI (John III) !
The real Stefan is in Krakow, Poland, the real Jan Sobieski from Krakow is in Iasi, Romania.
The rumor exist because our statue represent a catholic guy (don't ask me how can you know that by looking at a statue) and our religion is orthodox... and there is the rumor that Polish and Romanians ordered the statues in the same time to the same guy... and was a mix-up in transport.
Here are some pictures of that two heroes (since I know, Sobieski was / is a real hero in Poland)...
