I am currently living in the north of France, ans one local hobby is Car tuning. A lot of people there, especially young people (mostly between 18 ans 25) are addicted to Car tuning and you can find this type of vehicules everywhere.
Maybe it is beautiful but, to my mind, buying a new car and modifying its pieces is totally useless... I am also wondering how they can sell their modified cars after that!
Do you agree ?

Well, if your modifications are tasteful and useful, it will increase the value of the car, and make it sell faster because it will stand out from the crowd.
Adding 100 bumper stickers to the back will reduce value, but adding a custom paint job and a body kit will greatly increase the value.
So far i know tuning cars has been always popular. And for increasing the value of the car. i think an amature wont get that much profit of the sell of his car project so he can start a new project.
It is just an hobby of them, wasting money is normal, or you spent it at a club for drinken and partying or they give their money out to new parts and drink in a garage, But indeed their are more and more peaple who want to tune and modify their car.
And i dont got anything againt that
Greetz,
It's a waste of money. It drives resale value down on new cars. Who wants to buy something that has been driven probably harder than it was designed for.
It can easily void factory drive train warrenties.
But, It's FUN !!!

On new cars perhaps, but on older cars the value will go up.
Don't expect to get back everything you put into it, though.
Car tuning is a way to keep you bussy, just like everything else.
It just the same as, let say,... computing.
But for me, car tuning, i don't see anything of intrest in it.

I love car tuning, I have dreamed about cars since I was bourne, can`t wait to I get a nicer car
But here I live its not so many pepole who does that
but hopefully it will change
I like to drive fast and I like old cars.
However, most old cars are beat to shit.
"Tuning" or whatever you want to call it seems like a natural response.
I like tuned up cars, they are better than some normal car and if you're too poor to get exotic, they are the best.
Im very in to it and it is great fun if you have the time to make your car look special
First and foremost, it all depends from taste of the owner, I don't support peple that are attaching 6 or so new big havy spoilers and widen their Peugeot 206 puting inside by the way0,5 KW soob speaker .... (I thing U R catching my) If someone do it with knowledge and don't make ordinary people laught on the streets it's ok. I'm "tuning" alittle bit my own car, but in way: to meke it younger, more fuel afficient and realiable -> orginal.
