Where did the word "Atomes" come from?

Democrite was a philosopher. He had hyppothesis about the structure of matter, they are composed from super small thing called "Atomes" - mean "can't divide anymore". He didn't know if they exist or not, and he represent them that they're different. "Atomes" on the way he thought and assumed had many shape: cubic, prism,pyramid,... Depend on these types of shape, "atomes" joined together to compose matter. But nowadays, we all know they're one and "atomes" have 1 shape.
And, i think he was a greater phisolopher when i read that he assumed the life had been begun from water. He passed his era over 2000 year...

Well, actually Democritus was the student - the Master was Leucippus and it was he who originated the theory according to current thoughts....
