PHP Zip => UNIX compression?

I need a class that compresses ZIP files into OS Host: UNIX.

Thanks for that. However in WinRar it still says that it is DOS, however its a version 2.0 which is better. And it doesnt support adding directories, even though it says it does...?

I'm a big fan of pclZip, which is a popular php zip library.

Does anyone have a modification, or could modify it to compress into unix?

If you can execute programs in the server, you can just use the usual zip command line utility to compress the data to a temporary file.
