Problem with rename on Linux?

bostko
Here it is the problem Smile . When I tried to make a few symbolic links with right button they created with "link to" in front of the word so I tried to remove this with rename command but i made a mess of things and finally I got _ HtmlConverter in front of the word. So can anybody tell me how is the syntax of the rename command to remove this _ HtmlConverter from all files.

Sorry for my English Embarassed

BACK UP YOUR FILES FIRST because I haven't tested this:

Code:
for file in _\ HtmlConverter* ; do mv $file `echo $file | sed 's/_ HtmlConverter//'` ; done

Run this from a bash (not sh) terminal in the backed up directory your files are in. I'm assuming the character after the underscore is a space.
Cool

mv: target „xjc“ νis not catalog.
I thing the fact that the files are links is problem Question

If they're just symlinks then you can delete them and try again without a problem.

Also when you say "with the right button", which file manager are you using - Nautilus, Konqueror, or something else?
