Help installing cygwin on Vista

I need some help installing Cygwin on Vista Home premium 32 bit system
Can anyone help me with that

What are the problems that you faced during the installation?
maybe you can try on running elevated command prompt...
sometimes the application did not install correclty in Windows Vista because of the administrator permission.
Give a try and see if it can be solved Very Happy

Frankly, Cygwin is a really half-assed solution. It's a better way of running Unix-y programs than M$'s own "Unix Services for Windows" but can't compare to a real install of Linux or Solaris or FreeBSD... Also, lots of Unix-y programs have "native" ports that don't need half of Linux running as DLLs in the background. You should see if any of those are available before you put too much effort into making Cygwin run.
