iPod Classic part?

Diablosblizz
Hey, I just got a new iPod (this being my first one, and I'll tell you I have NO idea how to use it) and there is this one piece that I can't seem to figure out what it is used for. The piece looks like this:

I apologize for the poor brightness and the size of the image, but I believe you should be able to make a picture out of it. It seems that the above piece is used for plugging the USB into. (the part that plugs into the iPod at the bottom) It also has pieces on the side that look like it is supposed to hold the iPod in.

Considering I am a iPod maroon, I need some help! Does anybody know what this piece is used for? Thanks!

I figured it out after I bought a docking station for my iPod. If anybody wants to know it's for the iPod to sit into. Read the docks manual on how to install and use the piece.
