Here is the million dollar question all Packers fans like myself are asking. Will Brett Favre retire after this season??
They way he is playing, if i were him, i wouldnt...
But then, he is also getting up there in age, and the risk of injury becomes greater the older you get
Does he want to reitre on top? Or keep playing for as long as his body lets him?
I think he will but i dont think he should
He won't retire. He practically said he won't. Anyway there is no way he would retire after having his best year and after getting so close to getting to the superbowl. If he had lost to the pats in the superbowl he might have but not now. Thats like Agassi retiring after making the US Open finals. In hindsight he should have retired but he wasn't going to after getting so close and not winning. Sampras actually was smart and his final tournament was winning the US Open in a classic.
I would say no because he has too much fun playing the game and he feels he has a good team right now. I would say yes because if you looked at him in that game against NY, his body couldn't hold up and he was drained. GB has a great prospect in Aaron Rodgers their backup QB so I just would say I dont know. I voted yes though....
No, I don't think he will retire after this season. He's not an idiot. He knows he has alot of his great talent coming back, therefore, there is an opportunity to go out on top. I personally love watching Brett Favre play, and even though I know alot of people don't like him for whatever reason, I always try to watch any games he is involved in. You can tell just by watching him that he loves to play football. He loves to be competitive. He just loves the sport. And in my opinion, it is always enjoyable to watch somebody like that. It's refreshing that even though he makes alot of money, he still loves what he does.
