It seems like as more and more webmasters resort to text link advertising the price of this advertising has been going down relative to where it was just 6 months.
Also, it seems like run-of-site ads are still extremely popular in the major auction and brokerage sites.
Personally, I won't touch run-of-site advertising. It seems as if the links are devalued when they run on all or many of the interior pages of a particular domain. I single link on a homepage seems to be just as effective, and usually costs less.
